Sponsored Content and Advertorial Guidelines

THMT does not allow paid content that resembles editorial content in style, intent and format.  Separate from Editorial Content, layout, artwork, and format,  content will be easily distinguished from editorial content and avoid any confusion and be clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Adverising" Content.   Articles and advertisements will be labeled as such to clearly distinguish this content from the ground breaking original research the journal publishes. Organizations, professionals, and researchers looking to amplify thought leadership, expertise, innovation, and build awareness with multimedia content, can submit material to share with a highly targeted audience of healthcare and technology professionals, decision-makers, and innovators.

Submission Guidelines:

  • All content must align with THMT's mission
  • 6 page insertion limit including images
  • Materials will be reviewed and approved by the publisher
  • PDH will promote content across social media platforms and global community outreach
  • Articles and images provided will be camera ready for publication production
  • Copy editing will be conducted by the submitter(s). PDH is not held responsible.
  • References are required.
  • No DOI will be assigned to sponsored content

Note: Submission must include data-backed insights, actionable recommendations, or thought leadership related to healthcare technology and life sciences, and must be factual in nature.

Cost

$1,050 per insertion – maximum 6 color pages total, including images. Additional pages will be invoiced at $175/additional page. Discount for 4x journal insertion 10%, net 30 days.

THMT is pleased to extend credit card, check, wire transfer, PayPal for invoice payments.

Licensing

Licensing agreements are important for the success and continuous expansion of THMT’s awareness, readership and audience engagement to fill knowledge gaps and accelerate modernization and change in the healthcare industry.  We continuously seek new ways to make information more useful and impact healthcare and health systems around the globe in local language, geographies, countries and emerging nations. Bibliodiversity and opportunities to share quality research with colleagues and interested persons around the globe is important to THMT.

Supplements, Theme Issues, Special Issues or Series 

These are collections of papers related to issues or topics, are published as a separate issue of the journal or as part of a regular issue, and may be funded by sources other than journal publisher or APC, and an effective way to disseminate scientific findings and meeting proceedings and materials relevant for the journal audience. Special issues garner attention, and are often highly read and cited.

Proposal Acceptance

The provisional proposal acceptance is subject to the approval of the Editors-in-Chief. In order to reach a decision about suitability, please provide the following information to the THMT publisher:

  • Request letters should include:
    • Please provide conference title, date(s), program, location, web address, expected number of delegates, audience breakdown, and any other relevant details
    • If not related to a conference, please provide a detailed outline including proposed title, topics, and as many details as possible for interested authors, timelines etc.
  • How the request will be funded 
  • The type(s) of articles to be submitted
  • The estimated number of articles or conference abstracts to be submitted
  • The approximate length of each article or conference abstract in words 
  • The expected date of the conference, submission of articles or conference abstracts
  • Previously published proceedings/collections sample if available
  • Proposed name for the proposed issue

For conference abstract collections, the following information is also requested: 

  • Confirmation that all abstracts will have undergone review and selection to ensure a suitable quality for publication 
  • Confirmation that all authors agree to publication of their abstract in the relevant journal

All supplements will undergo THMT peer review, be open access, and available online.

Collections and Special Issues

All manuscripts submitted for journal theme collections, or special issues are assessed according to the journal’s editorial criteria and standards and policies including competing financial interests. Submitted content will conform to specifications stated in the scope of the collection, or special issue. All submissions will undergo the journal’s standard peer review process. 

  • Editors-in-Chief are responsible for content of the entire journal, including special issues. Topics will be editorially relevant to the journal mission. 
  • Special issue articles will have the same editorial oversight as regular papers submitted to THMT, and be clearly labeled as such
  • No external peer review will be conducted
  • THMT will ensure Lead Editor credentials are valid and approved for appropriate subject expertise, credentials, and journal workflow knowledge to fulfill requirements of the role 
  • The Editors-in-Chief, and  associate editors, will oversee and guide lead Editors as per THMT workflow, processes, and peer review policies. Journal staff and journal editors also assume responsibility for the management of collections and special issues.
  • Papers submitted to a special issue by a Lead Editor(s) will be reviewed as per THMT peer review standards and processes, and should not include more than 25% of the total issue 

Editorial policy

Supplements must be independent, balanced, present scientific educational interest, scientific rigor, and are accepted subject to the approval of the journal's Editors-in-Chief.

Articles undergo full peer review and submit to all standard journal editorial policies. Submissions must be prepared according to THMT Information for Authors and Manuscript Preparation.

All articles and conference abstracts must be original. The integrity, independence, and reputation of the journal must be upheld.

Lead Editors

Lead Editor(s) may be appointed and are subject to the approval of Editors-in-Chief. They must remain impartial and are required to provide competing interests statements that will be disclosed and published in THMT. Lead Editors are subject matter experts must adhere to journal policy and procedure, and be a THMT editor.

Peer review

The peer review process will follow journal's standard policy in addition to any reviews and prescreenings any third party scientific committee or advisory board may conduct. Editorial control of content remains with THMT Editors-in-Chief. Changes, corrections, and rejections will be made where material does not meet journal editorial, and ethics standards.

Copyright

Copyright of articles and abstracts is retained by the authors, where authors grant THMT a license to publish the article and identify THMT as the publishing journal. See Copyright and License Agreement (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Charges/Fees

Charges may vary according to the complexity and magnitude of services to be provided by THMT such as the extent of issue customization required, length of articles and number of references to be copy edited, type of content including presentation PDFs, PPTs or media such as video or audio, abstracts including length and total number, graphics and artwork, turnaround time etc. 

Production

All appropriate submitted and peer reviewed materials will be published as fully formatted PDF, XML, HTML, and ePub file versions on the journal's website.

Advertising Policy

Telehealth and Medicine Today (THMT) peer reviewed articles are in no way influenced by advertisers or advertisements in any form. The journal’s business model includes advertising to generate revenue to enhance the quality, services, and journal platform for its audience, and develop educational materials for the global community ecosystem.

Types of Advertising that will be accepted and displayed on THMT will be determined at the discretion of the publisher, Tory Cenaj. Under no circumstances will THMT’s Advertisement(s) be considered an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) advertised, or for the company that creates, manufactures, distributes, or promotes the products or services. 

  1. THMT will not accept Advertising that, in THMT’s opinion, is not factually accurate and in good taste and reserves the right to determine such.
  2. THMT will not consider these categories for advertising:
    • illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, illicit, misleading or offensive material and products
    • material that misrepresents (real or implied) or attacks an individual or group
    • alcohol, weapons, firearms, ammunition, or tobacco
    • the simulation of news or an emergency
    • advertising that extends beyond the defined advertising space or interferes with the content or impact the readability of the content
    • advertising that does not retract to the defined advertising space upon user scroll off or contain a "close" or "X" for user to retract or close the ad unit/message after user initiation
  3. Advertisers must only offer products or services, and clearly identify the advertiser.
  4. THMT recognizes and maintains a distinct separation between advertising, sponsored content, and editorial content. All Advertising, promotional, sponsored content on THMT will be clearly identified as such.
  5. A click on an Advertisement may only link the end user to the third-party advertiser's site.
  6. Sponsored Content on the THMT is governed by the Sponsored Content Policy.
  7. Advertising on THMT may not link directly to a registration/email capture page. Any user registration or email capture pages resulting from an ad click must be, at minimum, two clicks away from the original Advertisement. THMT will not run Advertising that requires registration and/or log-in in order to view a significant portion of the content of the Advertising or the related site. THMT reserves the right to determine what level is 'significant'.
  8. THMT reserves the right to reject, cancel, or remove at any time any Advertising from THMT for any reason and will provide prompt notice to the advertiser upon rejection, cancellation, or removal of any Advertising, together with an explanation following the rejection, cancellation, or removal. THMT also reserves the right to determine the appropriate placement of the Advertising on the THMT site.
  9. It is the Advertiser's responsibility to comply with all applicable laws, including applicable laws and regulations of regulatory bodies. This includes pharmaceutical advertising to physicians that must comply with FDA guidelines for Direct to Physician (DTP) and advertising. THMT will not monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations. THMT reserves the right to review all Advertising for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and, if THMT becomes aware of any breach or potential breach of any applicable law, regulation, or guidelines, THMT may remove the Advertising.
  10. No Advertising on THMT shall include any pixels, tags, flash containers or any other type of information collection software code or shall place any beacons, cookies or other information collection devices on the browsers.
  11. No Advertising will be allowed on THMT that could injure the good name or reputation of THMT.
  12. THMT is not responsible for any errors contained or identified in Advertising.
  13. . In consideration of publication of an ad, the advertiser and the agency, jointly and severally, agree to indemnify and hold harmless publisher, its officers, agents and employees against expenses (including legal fees) and losses resulting from the publication of the contents of the ad, including, without limitation, claims or suits for libel, violation of privacy, copyright infringement or plagiarism.
  14. Advertising will not be linked to journal content, reader behavior, or displayed at random.
